Portals Of Lumina is an online 2D platform project set within the wider Dreams Of Lumina universe. It uses a distinct scale and visual grammar while remaining connected to the ideas, atmosphere and technological direction of the larger world.
Movement as a way to read the world
Platforming makes landscape immediately physical. Distance, height, rhythm and danger can communicate the character of a place before dialogue explains it.
Pixel art with its own identity
The 2D presentation is not an imitation of the 3D MMORPG. It is a deliberate translation that can emphasize silhouettes, colour, animation and the feeling of crossing an immense world at a human scale.
Connected by universe and technology
The project shares creative foundations with Dreams Of Lumina while being designed as a product able to stand on its own. Online systems will be introduced where they meaningfully strengthen that experience.
