Security

Viotus is committed to implementing reasonable and industry-standard technical and organizational measures designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of its digital platforms, including its websites, applications, systems, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). These measures are intended to reduce risk, deter misuse, and limit unauthorized access; however, no system, application, network, or internet-based service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users expressly acknowledge and agree that absolute security cannot be guaranteed and that the use of the Platform involves inherent risks that may result in unauthorized access, data loss, service disruption, or other adverse outcomes.

Viotus may apply a range of safeguards that can include, where appropriate, security-focused system architecture, access control mechanisms, authentication requirements, encryption in transit and/or at rest, monitoring and logging practices, administrative controls, and abuse-prevention measures. Such safeguards are implemented in accordance with operational requirements and prevailing industry practices and may be modified, strengthened, replaced, or discontinued over time. Viotus does not warrant that any safeguard will prevent all security incidents, nor does it represent that the Platform will be immune from vulnerabilities, defects, malicious code, interception, or cyberattacks.

Users are solely responsible for maintaining the security of their own devices, operating systems, networks, credentials, and access methods used in connection with the Platform. This responsibility includes, without limitation, the use of strong and unique passwords, the protection of authentication and recovery information, the security of email accounts associated with the Platform, and the maintenance of up-to-date software and device protections. Any compromise of user credentials, devices, or associated services may result in unauthorized access that is independent of any security measures implemented by Viotus. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Viotus disclaims liability for any losses, damages, or unauthorized access arising from a user’s failure to maintain adequate security practices.

Users agree not to attempt to bypass, disable, interfere with, or circumvent any security or access-control mechanisms implemented by Viotus. Any attempt to probe, scan, exploit vulnerabilities, reverse engineer, or otherwise interfere with the security or integrity of the Platform may result in immediate restriction, suspension, or termination of access. Viotus reserves the right to take protective and preventive actions deemed reasonably necessary to safeguard the Platform, its systems, and its users.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Viotus expressly disclaims responsibility and liability for security incidents arising from factors outside its reasonable control. Such factors may include, without limitation, hacking attempts, malware, phishing, social engineering, credential stuffing, distributed denial-of-service attacks, third-party service failures, infrastructure outages, telecommunications disruptions, device-level vulnerabilities, or acts of force majeure. Users acknowledge that threat actors continuously evolve their methods and that security incidents may occur even when reasonable safeguards are in place.

The Platform may rely on third-party services, software components, infrastructure providers, hosting platforms, analytics tools, payment processors, email delivery services, or other external systems. Viotus does not control and is not responsible for the security practices or failures of third-party providers. Any interaction with third-party services occurs at the user’s own risk, and Viotus disclaims liability for any losses or damages resulting from third-party acts, omissions, misconfigurations, or security incidents.

Viotus does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Platform, error-free operation, continuous access to user accounts, or the preservation of any data. Users are responsible for maintaining their own backups of any information they consider important. Data loss, corruption, deletion, or unavailability may occur due to security incidents, system failures, maintenance activities, user error, third-party outages, or other causes. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Viotus disclaims liability for any loss or corruption of data.

In the event of a suspected or confirmed security incident, Viotus may take reasonable measures intended to mitigate risk and restore services, including temporarily restricting access, requiring credential resets, modifying access controls, or disabling certain features. Users acknowledge that such measures may result in temporary inconvenience or loss of access and agree that Viotus shall not be liable for outcomes arising from good-faith security responses.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Viotus shall not be liable for any damages or losses of any kind arising from or related to security incidents, including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, loss of opportunity, or reputational harm, even if Viotus has been advised of the possibility of such damages. This limitation of liability forms an essential basis of the agreement between Viotus and its users.

Users who identify potential security vulnerabilities may report them through designated communication channels. The submission of such reports does not create any obligation, warranty, or liability on the part of Viotus, nor does it establish any contractual, advisory, or fiduciary relationship. Users agree not to publicly disclose suspected vulnerabilities without providing Viotus a reasonable opportunity to investigate and address them.

By accessing or using the Platform, users expressly acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with digital platforms and internet-based services. Users agree that Viotus shall not be held responsible for security-related incidents except to the extent expressly required by applicable mandatory law. Any remaining risk is assumed entirely by the user. If a user does not agree with any part of this Security Policy, they must refrain from accessing or using the Platform and its associated services.
